Assembly and other stuff

Congratulations to Bethan for being chosen as our assembly star in Friday's assembly. She was chosen because of her respectful behaviour to both adults and students. Way to go Bethan!

Well done to everyone in Room 2 for their involvement in our whole school assembly. It was great to see everyone playing a part. The children shared:

• Their student dictionaries
• Introducing themselves in Maori
• Introducing themselves in French
• Teaching the school how to count from 0 - 10 in French
• The Treaty of Room 2.

Both Mr Nelson and Mrs Hodgkinson are really proud of the way in which the class presented to the school.

On this blog you will see on the right 'Sites we like'. Here you will see two new blogs, 'Let's Learn Te Reo Maori' and 'Let's Learn French'. Check these out to help with learning both languages. With the Te Reo Maori blog we will look at introducing a new word or phrase every week. The site will be based around videos starring our own talented Room 2 students. For the French blog there will be support material for all of the units we do for our French studies.

Swimming has now finished for the year. We will be back in the pool in Term 4. Hopefully the kids have all learned new skills to keep them safe in the water.

Week 6 will have the syndicate working in their new maths groups. This will involve some staying in Room 2 with Mrs Hodgkinson, and others working with either Mr Lockington or Mrs Stewart, depending on their learning needs.
