The Room 2 Update

Syndicate Targets
The senior syndicate teachers spent the day on Friday identifying goals that will have all of the students in Rooms 1, 2 and 3 making big gains in maths, reading and writing. We are looking forward to seeing great results from our seniors in these important subjects in 2011.

This doesn't mean, however, that we have forgotten the other curriculum areas, such as art, PE, social studies, languages, and science. These will all be a big part of the Room 2 programme in 2011.

Languages
These are new posts up on the 'Let's Learn French' and 'Let's Learn Te Reo Maori' learning blogs. Don't forget to check these out and leave a comment.

The next topic for French is on numbers from 1 - 20 and how to ask and answer 'How old are you?'.

Parent Interviews
There is an almost 100% response from parents and caregivers for interviews this Wednesday and Thursday. It's fantastic to see parents taking such a keen interest in the education of their children.

ICT
Some of the class websites have been added to our class blog website list. You can see these on the right hand side of this page. Remember, these are a work in progress, so there will be errors on them on many occasions. However, as the year progresses you can expect to see a real improvement in the quality of what is added and posted, particularly on the students writing blogs (which will be added to each student site this week).

    i hope to improve in my maths reading writing and languages also term 1 has been excellent and i hope every one has had a good year so far and stay out of trouble
