Congratulations to Savana-Rae for being selected by Mr Nelson and Mrs Hodgkinson as the Room 2 certificate winner for the last two weeks. Savana-Rae has had a fantastic year so far.
Staff v students non-stop cricket match
This took place on Friday at lunchtime. The match was a thriller, with the staff just edging out the students 55-53. Both Mr Nelson and Mrs H enjoyed being part of the winning team.
The students now want revenge, and are looking forward to the next staff-student challenge.
7 a side tournament
This is taking place on Wednesday, with several of our Room 2 students taking part. Fingers crossed that the weather will stay fine.
Grasshoppers tennis
Our last session for Grasshoppers Tennis will be on Wednesday. However, the good news is that the school has purchased the equipment and all of the teachers are having a training session on Monday afternoon so that they are skilled up in how to run Grasshopper programmes.
Te Reo Maori

French

Weekend sport
It's great seeing so many Room 2 students involved in weekend sport. I (Mr Nelson) really enjoyed watching Lakeview students playing netball on Saturday morning. Mrs H also enjoyed being at the netball courts, where she was helping out with the Senior B Team.

French this week has been on where we come from and I think it is going to be where our family comes from aswell.

Mr Nelson last week when the teachers had a cricket game bewteen the students and the teachers I was not even playing but I heared that you won just by one point. When the game just had finshed the students43 was saying oh they are cheetes I said oh toughn up.

On friday the students played against the teachers in a cricket match they cheated but they won any way by two points

On wednesday it is seven a side interimate team and I made it in for soccer that is going to cool.
Mr nelson the non stop cricket was preety cool but you cheated because you told the students to run around the cones but you didn't tell the teachers to run around the cones and you didn't pull them up for that.

Weekend sport we absolutely smashed featherston\greytown but the reff was pretty NOT fair we wern't aloud to do anything right can't wait to smash danny's team again 49-0 thats right we are undefeeted under 13 redstar.

Seven aside is on Wednesday and im playing in the soccer team . We are playing at Saint Matthews
French is going well and we are on unit 8.

I like playing grasshopper tennis but it didnt go as long as i wish i could have but i was fun and i now can do more thigs in tennis!

Hi Mr Nelson. Did you have fun being in the winning team for the non-stop cricket team it sucked that I was away for the game because I was meant to be playing in it, the score was pretty close.
ReplyDeleteThe new unit we started on swounds fun but the words are so alike so I am getting confused with the words.
I can't wait until Wednesday because thats the date the Seven Aside games will be held. I am in the Seven Aside soccer team, we will be facing St Matthews. The game will be held at St Matthews.
I have really enjoyed learning new skills with Alex during Grasshopper Tennis.

ReplyDeleteTennis is fun but it's hard to get the ball in the back square, but i enjoyed it and Alex was a good tennis teacher.
Saying the countries in french are hard but Englad is the one that i didn't know until i'd done all the other countries first.

ReplyDeleteThe cricket match was very amusing or very intresting. That was the first and most likely the last time I would see the teachers run. As the teacher and students formed a croud of fans adoring the STUDENTS there was mayhem behind the croud Ashton,Conor and I got tackled and pushed around. congradulations TEACHERS for winning I say that through my grunted teeth.( mrs h runs funny so does mrs stuart)

ReplyDeletei was watching the seven aside tournament and i agree with most of the students i really really think from the bottom of my heart that the students won by like heaps but dont worry we'll get yous back dont worry .
On Saturday our netball team had our second game of netball and we were up against st.matts , it was like a really good game and a very close game but unfortunatley we lost by two piont , but like i was getting like real angry because like half the team was like real tired and yeah , but tomorrow we will hopefully beat them !!!!!!!!!
