Room 2 Update

What's been happening in Room 2? Read on to find out.

Speeches
Speeches have now all been done. Room 2 had fantastic success in the senior syndicate speech finals, with Sophie winning the year 7 competition and Leena coming third. In the year 8 competition Celine came second and Corben was third. That's four of a possible six places going to Room 2; great work kids and Mrs H!

Good luck to Sophie, who will be representing Lakeview School in the inter-school competition on Monday morning.

Sport and PE
There will be another rippa rugby session on Monday. This will prepare our students for the inter-school competition that will be starting later in the year.

What a fantastic effort from Ana, winner of the inter-school year 8 cross country race last Wednesday at Rathkeale College. We are very proud of our Room 2 Ana!

French
We didn't have a French session last week, as speeches were done on Monday afternoon and Mr Nelson was away from school on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will be back into our French studies on Monday afternoon.

Te Reo Maori
There is a new lesson up on our Te Reo Maori blog. This week's lesson is on counting in tens, from 10 to 100.

Topic Studies
The police unit with Keeley will continue with another Keeley visit on Tuesday afternoon.

The students have started designing money for the PrEP unit.

Homework
A new sheet for this week has been posted on our blog. Remember, the class computers are available in the morning before school if you don't have one at home.

  1. I watched the cross-country at Rathkeale last week, and it was fantastic to see the Lakeview kids trying so hard. Coming in the top 10 was a real achievement - let alone coming first! Well done Ana. And I bet you are all pleased speeches are over?? Congratulations to Sophie, especially. Good luck at inter-schools. Au revoir.
