Google Sites and a whole lot more

Last week all of the students in Room 2 set up their own Google Sites. These will be used as online portfolios that students will use to share their work, reflect on learning, blog, organise their time, and a lot more. Once the sites are up and running (hopefully by the end of the week) we will put links on this blog so that student sites can be easily accessed.

It was great to see a lot of the Room 2 children helping out with gala stalls on Friday afternoon and early evening. Mr Nelson enjoyed his ride on Josh's go-cart. Both Mr Nelson and Mrs Hodgkinson were lucky to be the two teachers that helped out with the kids stalls on the night.

A big thank you to Mrs Hodgkinson for organising the shared lunch and credit auction on Friday afternoon. For those who didn't use up all of your credits, you will be able to hold on to them until the end of the term.

All of the senior leaders finally received their badges on Friday afternoon. It was great to be able to officially hand these out to a group of students who we know will go on to be great role models throughout the 2011 school year. To meet our leaders, have a look at the slide show below.

Finally, don't forget to check out the 'Let's Learn Maori' and 'Let's Learn French' blogs to keep you up to date with your language learning in Room 2.
