Our class star and other stuff

Our Class Star
Congratulations to Regan who was selected as our class star in the last assembly. Regan was chosen because he is such a caring and helpful member of Room 2. Way to go Regan, Mr Nelson. Mrs Hodgkinson and all of the students really enjoy having you as a member of our class.

ICT Learning
The student online portfolios are well underway. At this stage they aren't yet ready to publish on line for all to see as there are additions still to be made. As soon as they are ready we will put a link to them on our blog.

In ICT at the moment we are also looking at building on our touch typing skills. Click the link on our list of sites we like (you can find the list on the top right of this blog) so that you can practice at home. Mr Nelson will also be learning how to type (he currently only uses two fingers!).

French
It was great having Philippa, the French Language advisor in class last week. She was pretty impressed with what she saw, particularly Josh I with his ad libbing in the whole class activity.

Te Reo Maori

Parent Interviews
We now have 20 parent interview slips in which s a pretty good response. However, we won't be happy until we have a response from every parent. A strong school - home relationship is a very important factor in student success at school. If parents can't make the meeting next week, then please contact eith Mr Nelson or Mrs Hodgkinson to set up an appointment at another time.

    room 2 is ausome this year i love ict time room2 you are good at french and other things. i think room 2 has a lot more i.c.t than a lot of classes put togeher.

    Learning French is awesome. I love the beautiful spellings and pronounciations. But Mr Nelson, you need to work on your pronouncing. You pronounce it the way it is spelt. You should work on that. Otherwise, good efforts, Mr Nelson.

    Hey Room 2, super cool reading your comments. We do have an awesome room because you are all in it and are working hard. Celine just remember that we do have a know work day each term. Actually twice a term and the next one is coming up in week 11.

    Remember to bring in your bits and pieces for our next auction everyone.
